WE COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!

The Uxbridge Youth Centre was founded by dedicated volunteers who put countless hours into the dream that became a reality. We wish the acknowledge the truly significant contribution that the following individuals made to the UYC: Wanda Stride , the UYC's first Chairperson and main driving force during the UYC's inception. Wanda's vision, community links and energy played an integral role in shaping what the UYC has become today.

Annabelle Murray was the former Co-Chair of the Research Committee. She visited numerous youth centres in southern Ontario to help develop a model specific to the needs of local youth. Ms Murray was also responsible for media relations, generating promotional material and archiving the UYC's progress.

Founding Board Member, Leena Rahusaar also researched many youth centres and donated countless hours to the UYC. Although Ms Rahusaar no longer sits on the Board, she continues to be an invaluable link to the UYC through her position and expertise as the head of the Resource Dept. at Uxbridge Secondary School.

John Anderson, Donna Mavor, Dianne Dyke, Richard Barbur, TIm Teakle and Rob Halko also made significant contributions from everything from legal assistance, administration support, research and event organization. We thank you all!
